Presentation of Salzburg companies at career fairs

The shortage of skilled workers poses significant challenges for companies and our economic location. This is further exacerbated by demographic changes and a rapidly growing international competition for talented individuals. The IT industry, in particular, has experienced a worsening shortage of personnel. In Salzburg, efforts are being made on various fronts to address these challenges and to enhance the development of skilled workers, education, and the attractiveness and visibility of Salzburg as a place to work. One important component of these efforts is participating in career fairs both domestically and internationally.

Below you will find the dates of upcoming career fairs. For those marked with an asterisk (*), we still have available spots for you to join us in representing Salzburg and your company.

• 27.-28.2.2025: Work & Study in Tirana, Albania *
  This fair stands as Albania’s premier job and career expo, organized jointly by the Albanian Ministry of Education and the Tirana Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Anticipating attendance from 6,000 to 8,000 visitors, it ranks as the largest of its kind in the nation. You can find us at the joint booth with the Austrian Foreign Trade Office Tirana.
• 6.-7.5.2025: KIT Career Fair Karlsruhe *
  The KIT Career Fair is an annual job fair at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), where students and graduates can connect with 200 different companies each day from various industries and explore career opportunities.
• 13.-14.5.2025: JOBarcelona *
  One of Spain’s leading career fairs, held annually in Barcelona. It brings together over 120 companies with young talents, including students, graduates, and early-career professionals.
• 13.-14.5.2025: IKORO Rosenheim 
  Regional and national companies present themselves annually at IKORO. Over two consecutive fair days, they have the opportunity to showcase themselves as future employers to candidates. This event allows them to recruit highly qualified professionals, provide information about internships, and introduce career entry opportunities to students.
• 15.5.2025: TECONOMY Graz
  TECONOMY Graz is a student-organized career fair. Since 1992, the IAESTE Graz student association has organized TECONOMY in close cooperation with TU Graz, attracting over 4,000 visitors and more than 90 companies annually. The event provides students from all technical and scientific disciplines with the opportunity to connect with companies and learn about internships, thesis projects, and job opportunities.
• June 2025: IKOM TUM Munich *
  The Technical University of Munich holds a unique position in Europe due to its academic structure. Its comprehensive range of natural and engineering sciences is complemented by departments in medicine, sports, health, and life sciences. Since its first edition in 1989, IKOM at the Garching Research Center has grown from a one-day forum with 26 companies to a four-day major event with over 300 participating companies and around 15,000 visitors.
• October 2025: FH Karrieremesse Wels * 
  The FH Career Fair Wels offers a professional platform for networking with over 130 top-tier companies from all over Austria, as well as opportunities for internships, thesis topics, and job offers in the fields of engineering and applied natural sciences.
• March and October 2025: IT-JobFair Warsaw *
  The IT-JobFair takes place over three days at the three largest universities in Warsaw. The fair is a mix of a job fair and workshops for students in computer science and related fields.
• October/November 2025: JOBMadrid *
  JOBMadrid offers around 10,000 visitors the opportunity to engage in conversations and network with over 50 national and international companies and institutions. This international career fair for young Spanish talents is open to students and graduates from all academic backgrounds, nationalities, and universities.
• November 2025: TECONOMY Vienna * 
  TECONOMY Vienna is aimed at students and graduates of technical and natural sciences disciplines.
