“Cool Alps” aims to improve adaptability to climate change and energy security in the Alpine region by promoting the dissemination of innovative thermally activated buildings. These buildings enable CO2-free heating and cooling using a single system, making settlements more flexible and resilient to extreme heat periods.
Activities:
- Development of a planning guide for thermally activated building components in the Alpine region
- Preparation of a proposal paper for funding projects with building component activation and improving the legal framework
- Programming an online expert pool for planners, architects, construction companies, and energy planners
- Creation of an online innovation map showcasing example buildings throughout the entire Alpine region.
