The BMK flagship project KRAISBAU aims to lay the foundation for a transformative shift in Austria’s construction industry, driving progress toward AI-assisted circular building practices.
Bringing together 32 partners—including companies, research institutions, and other key stakeholders—KRAISBAU is committed to realizing the vision of a truly sustainable and circular construction sector.
By pooling the expertise of construction firms, research centers, architectural offices, and other relevant institutions, the project creates the necessary conditions to achieve its ambitious objectives. A core focus of KRAISBAU is the integration of digital tools, particularly artificial intelligence. AI-driven solutions will enable efficient and scalable approaches to managing existing building stock. In addition, the project will analyze the technical and legal frameworks that shape circular construction. The insights and standards developed will be shared across the industry through fact sheets, roadmaps, and training programs.
